Description
Programming example for real PLCs.
Includes problem statement and solutions for three automation systems:
-EasyPLC (Nirtec)
-TIA PORTAL v.15 (Siemens)
-RSLogix 5000 (Rockwell)
The objective is to use a RFID lector system to read the weight of the boxes and address them to the different three lines in function of their weight.
In the machine will come three types of pallet crates, each one has a magnetic tag where is indicated their weight:
• The crates type 1 will have a weight from 10 to 19 Kilograms and must to be addressed to line 1
• The crates type 2 will have a weight from 20 to 29 Kilograms and must to be addressed to line 2
• The crates type 3 will have a weight from 30 to 39 Kilograms and must to be addressed to line 3
You must use the RFID reader to read the weight of the crates and then, address them to the proper conveyor line.
The RFID uses one digital PLC Output to start the read process and eight digital inputs where is indicated the read value in binary format

Installing Instruction
Download the file.
Unzip it
You will find three different folders:
-AB
-EasyPLC
-Siemens
Inside each folder you will find:
- The text files with explanations and solutions for each problem
- The . maq file, which you must copy to the Machines Simulator 4 -> MyMachines folder
(Default: C: -> Nirtec -> Machines Simulator 4 -> MyMachines)
- For TIA PORTAL and RSLogix 5000, you will find the driver configuration files with Machines Simulator.
You must copy this file with the .drv extension to the path: Machines Simulator 4 -> Drivers
(Default: C: -> Nirtec -> Machines Simulator 4 -> Drivers)
- And the project files for each automation software
